Telia Stofa has successfully launched on-demand services to its cable customers in Denmark in time for Christmas. With an ambitious launch plan Telia Stofa selected eventIS to provide and integrate their session resource manager and recording manager for its video on demand platform on its broadcast cable and IPTV network. The session resource manager solution, based on the eventIS TRAXIS and SPECTRIS products, integrates with third party equipment such as Harmonic Edge QAMs and Edgeware video servers to dynamically allocate streams to the edge devices. The recording manager, based on the eventIS STAGIS and PRODIS products, provides the necessary capability for accurate PVR recordings on the video servers based on live schedule metadata. The network PVR recordings are immediately available for play-out at the hybrid Motorola set top boxes.
