The following is an interniew with one of the eventIS employees, to give you an idea of what it means to work for eventIS.

Age: 26
With eventIS since: June 2006
Position: Software engineer
What does your position include?
Maintaining and developing software.
What does your working day look like?
Start 7:30. Coffee!! Check my mail. See where I left off the day before. Coffee. Making a planning for the day. Get to work. Short break with coffee. Work. Lunch break with coffee. Work. Short break with coffee. Work some more and back to home at around 17:00.
Why did you apply for a job with eventIS?
To get a chance to develop software in a context that was new and challenging to me (the world of digital TV).
Is working with eventIS what you expected it to be?
As eventIS was my first employer in the ICT industry, I didn't have specific expectations. But I have noticed a few things. The expertise my colleagues have and their willingness to share it, is much better than I had imagined. Furthermore the pressure is built up from day one, but in a sensible way, to create constantly new challenges and opportunities to learn. There is the freedom of flexible working hours and the possibility to follow courses. And then there are the company activities outside of developing software, that I find an enjoyable and inspiring break from my daily work.
Do you have digital TV yourself ?
No, not yet.
Who is your favorit colleague?
Perhaps I should answer this question in a more general way. The eventIS team exists of a small group of both younger and older colleagues. this creates a spontaneous and flexible atmosphere with a lot of humor (although of course Ruud will remain my 'all time favourite’).
What is not so nice about eventIS?
That I don't see Ruud everyday anymore (Ruud is now working on another set of projects, on a different floor).
Do you watch TV a lot at work ?
To be honest … never.
What do you do in your spare time?
Snowboarding.
Describe working with eventIS in one word?
Challenging.
