In the world of multi-channel digital television, viewers demand a high quality EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) service so they can benefit from all the options. And with the growing popularity of PVRs, accurate signalling of programme boundaries is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction. To deliver this service, operators need a reliable metadata system.
Capable of handling up to 250 active services, ENTRIS is a fully featured, high performance DVB-SI (EPG) generator. Based on our renowned CASIS solution, ENTRIS features real-time extraction of EITs from a live feed, and generates DVB compliant streams via several outputs simultaneously. The solution is available as an all-in-one package for a number of different service configurations.
A solution that grows with your business
ENTRIS meets the needs of small- to medium-sized operators who wish to deploy a straightforward, cost-effective, yet high quality EPG service for their customers. As your business grows you can easily upgrade ENTRIS into a more comprehensive CASIS system, without needing to re-train operational staff.

As simple as EPG
ENTRIS extracts EITs from a live feed, connected either to the ASI input or routed into the IP port (GbE). It supports PID re-mapping for processing incoming feeds that include a concentration of EITs from multiple streams. Schedule files can also be imported via the XML interface, using an FTP server. For more complex metadata processing requirements, ENTRIS can interface with our fully featured schedule pre-processing system, STAGIS. DVB compliant streams are generated via dual ASI outputs and/or an IP port simultaneously. The standardised output interface works with almost any type of multiplexer. Outputs can be adjusted for compliance with cable, satellite, terrestrial or IP DVB systems. The ENTRIS output stage sustains up to 20 Mbps streams on its ASI and IP ports. The system scales up to 250 active services andsupports one-to-one redundancy for mission critical applications. Our unique object-oriented database design ensures total integrity of both paths in a one-to-one redundant architecture, providing a fail-safe configuration upgrade procedure.
