| Entrance condition |
Specific technical VoD knowledge is not required.
Participants should have general knowledge about and experience
with:
- DVB, Digital Video Broadcasting system,
- Video, audio, metadata formats (e.g. MPEG, XML etc.),
- Servers, communication- and broadband networks, and IT infrastructures,
- Back office systems, like CRM- and billing systems,
- Consumer premises equipment (e.g. STBs, modem systems etc.),
- Operation of PC’s running the Windows XP operating system,
- Configuration of business models in a VoD system.

| Learning objectives |
After participation on the training the participant will be able to:
- Understand the VoD delivery chain and the systems involved,
- Understand business and commercials aspects of VoD systems,
- Understand content and the relations between assets, metadata and products,
- Define different kinds of products and allocate content to them,
- Set up, publish and maintain a product catalogue,
- Understand the ordering process as implemented in PRODIS & TRAXIS,
- Handle exceptions such as parental rating, fraude, etc.,
- Retrieve purchase data from the system and convert this into royalty reports,
- Install, configure and maintain the system.

| Structure |
The training is based on practical exercises. For this purpose
each participant will use a PC (Windows XP or 2003
installed) and a hard disk with a at least 10 GB of free space. |

| Remarks |
For this training a classroom is required where training PCs
can be installed.
For on site training, customer must provide a classroom and beamer.
For training at eventIS office, eventIS will provide appropriate PC’s.
For on-site training, customer must provide one PC per person (with administrator rights for installing software). |
